Katie Shannon

Biography

(b. Glasgow, UK).

Katie Shannon's recent projects include Vacancy (exhibition and performance) at Celine Gallery, Glasgow (2024), TLC23PEDESTRIANFETISHAGM2023 a collaborative durational performance at Artists Self-Publishers Fair 8, Conway Hall, London (2023),  The Artist Bar, research seminar and performance at the Horse Hospital, London (2023), Sicko fanart for Finlay Clark (2023), TLC23 collective action FET MIASMA MIS at Le Bourgeois, Catford (2023), Rebi programmed events at Cafe Oto (ongoing), soundtracking and performance for Liquid Currency at Kunstverein Dortmund, 2022,  and hardcore til i die (exhibition) at Kunsthalle Ost, Leipzig, 2022. She co-runs record labels and gig series Domestic Exile, So Low and Rebi, performs with band Kübler-Ross and often collaborates with musicians. Current curatorial outputs include TLC23 a collective initiated with Keira Fox investigating themes of mania, trauma, release and protection within a feminist context through performance events and collective organising, reactive and restorative in its processes, an occasional events and exhibitions series produced with France-Lise McGurn and a radio residency on NTS radio.
