Carmen Gray Puente

Statement

I take photos. I can’t help it. The story is, of course, much more elaborate than this. But when all is said and done, this is what I do - I take photos. Learning photography gave me a tool. Living in different countries and studying Art History has been a way of discovering and collecting experiences, ideas, and material to work and experiment with. This lived experience translates into an extensive archive of images, videos, collaborations, textiles, ceramic ashtrays and publications. You can find me in the library, snapping away with friends or going to the studio day after day, thinking of the world as an exciting place to be.
